Modules of G-dimension zero over local rings with the cube of maximal ideal being zero
Let (R,m) be a commutative Noetherian local ring with m = (0). We give a condition for R to have a non-free module of G-dimension zero. We shall also construct a family of non-isomorphic indecomposable modules of G-dimension zero with parameters in an open subset of projective space. We shall finally show that the subcategory consisting of modules of G-dimension zero over R is not necessarily a...
متن کاملAcyclicity versus Total Acyclicity for Complexes over Noetherian Rings
It is proved that for a commutative noetherian ring with dualizing complex the homotopy category of projective modules is equivalent, as a triangulated category, to the homotopy category of injective modules. Restricted to compact objects, this statement is a reinterpretation of Grothendieck’s duality theorem. Using this equivalence it is proved that the (Verdier) quotient of the category of ac...
متن کاملUnit groups of cube radical zero commutative completely primary finite rings
A completely primary finite ring is a ring R with identity 1 = 0 whose subset of all its zero divisors forms the unique maximal ideal J . Let R be a commutative completely primary finite ring with the unique maximal ideal J such that J3 = (0) and J2 = (0). Then R/J ∼= GF(pr) and the characteristic of R is pk, where 1≤ k ≤ 3, for some prime p and positive integer r. Let Ro =GR(pkr , pk) be a Gal...
متن کاملRadical Cube Zero Weakly Symmetric Algebras and Support Varieties
One of our main results is a classification all the weakly symmetric radical cube zero finite dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field having a theory of support via the Hochschild cohomology ring satisfying Dade’s Lemma. Along the way we give a characterization of when a finite dimensional Koszul algebra has such a theory of support in terms of the graded centre of the Koszul dual.
متن کاملRadical Cube Zero Selfinjective Algebras of Finite Complexity
One of our main results is a classification all the possible quivers of selfinjective radical cube zero finite dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field having finite complexity. In the paper [5] we classified all weakly symmetric algebras with support varieties via Hochschild cohomology satisfying Dade’s Lemma. For a finite dimensional algebra to have such a theory of support var...
